Public Hearing on the Budget Tonight

Tonight, May 14, 2012 at 6:00pm, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, the City Council will host the annual public hearing on the budget.  This is an open-forum meeting where residents can voice any concerns and ask questions about the budget.  The budget was proposed to the Council by Mayor O'Reilly and, through a series of budget meetings and public hearings, the Council will make any revisions/changes they deem appropriate.  That is why attending and speaking at the public hearing is so important.  This is a great way to let your elected officials know what matters to you and how you think the budget should be prioritized. It's also a good time to learn a bit more about how the budget works and get some of your questions answered.

It's also a great way to support SOP! We hope to see you there tonight.

Do you have any questions for the council that you would like to see answered tonight about the budget?  Let's get the conversation going now!
